From time to time, we like to get everyone from Merit Management Group together for some team-building activities. These events are opportunities for our people to see and interact with each other outside of a work context. Most recently we took everyone on a horseback ride. It was a great experience and exactly the type of activity we love doing with our people.
Horseback riding was a wonderful thing to do together, and this was the first time for a number of our associates. According to Glen, our company Director, “It was great to unwind with our team and do something a little different. After work, we went to a ranch and rode horses. It was very relaxing and beautiful outside. We all bonded as a team and had a great time.”
Team building is an important goal for Merit Management Group. Having a highly cohesive group of professionals working together enables us to stay on the cutting edge of our industry. So, we work as a team to develop objectives that will keep us working fluidly toward unifying aspirations.
When setting goals, it is useful to remember both short- and long-term plans. For short-term objectives, we use the SMART framework. This means all tactical plans must be specific, measurable, action-oriented, realistic, and time-bound. For the long term, we create BHAGs. These are our big, hairy, audacious goals.
This horseback riding adventure enabled us to progress in our team-building objectives.
